Therapy intensives are extended sessions (3–8 hours) designed to help you move through trauma, emotional blocks, or distressing experiences more efficiently than traditional weekly therapy. Intensives allow you to focus on one area of your life with sustained attention. This results in faster, deeper healing.
An intensive is a condensed therapy experience that compresses weeks or months of progress into a single day. Using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and other evidence-based tools, you’ll process a specific memory, event, or pattern in a supportive, focused environment.
We begin with a consultation to define your goals and identify what you want to address. On the day of your intensive, we move through preparation, processing, and integration stages to ensure the work is both effective and contained.
All intensives include:
● A 30-minute pre-session consultation
● Personalized treatment planning
● Guided EMDR processing
● Post-intensive integration and support
Intensives are ideal if you:
The focused nature of intensives often leads to faster symptom relief and a greater sense of completion around the issue being addressed.
Have a specific issue you’re ready to resolve
Feel stuck or plateaued in weekly therapy
Have limited time for ongoing sessions
Want to make rapid progress before a major life event
Studies demonstrate that EMDR Intensives can significantly reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression in fewer sessions than traditional therapy. Concentrated EMDR processing allows the brain to reprocess distressing material more efficiently, leading to sustained healing and measurable progress.
